Archery Facility Helmstadt
Note: From May 31st until June 3rd, 2024, the archery facility will be closed due to the shooting festival in Helmstadt. You can find further information about this under “News”.
The archery facility in Helmstadt is a small but beautiful area in Helmstadt, where you can let a few arrows fly when arriving or departing from our region. It is also well suited for a quick little after-work round for archery enthusiasts.
It consists of a shooting range and a small course with ten stations on the outskirts of Helmstadt, in the immediate vicinity of the A3 motorway access. The stations are equipped with two to three 3D animals. The terrain is flat and is mostly on a meadow. So it is very easy for anyone to commit.
Registration and Course Use
Registration takes place at the registration hut on site. Registration forms are available there, which after filling in must be thrown into a slot along with the course fee. The registration is based on trust.
In order to use the Helmstadt archery facility, you must have your own archery equipment or at least bring it with you. However, the operator also offers bow rental at its office in Helmstadt. After contacting us, anyone interested can get bows and rental equipment there.
Prices and Opening Hours
The course is open all year round. The opening times are daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or in the summer months (May to August) until 9:00 p.m.
The fee is a daily fee, i.e. you can do as many laps as you like during the day. Adults (aged 18 and over) pay EUR 7 per day, children and young people (8 up to and including 16 years) pay EUR 5 and children under 8 years accompanied by a paying adult are free of charge. To find the course as easily as possible, just enter Am Schützenhaus, 97264 Helmstadt in your GPS. Coming from Helmstadt in the direction of Üttingen, the facility is located approx. 500 meters after the end of the village on the left at the Schützenhaus. Parking is sufficiently available.

It is a daily fee, which means you can run as many course rounds as you like.
Registration and payment take place on site at the registration box.
Payment of the course fee is only possible in cash. The fee is to be brought along appropriately.
The archery facility in Helmstadt is open all year round daily from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. In the summer months (May to August) even until 9 p.m.
Please inform yourself before your visit for safety again on the website of the operator, if the course is really open at the desired time.

Actually bow rental is not offered on site. But there is the possibility to rent bows in the office in Leo-Drenkard-Str. 2, 97264 Helmstadt after prior arrangement. Here, the bows must also be submitted again.

The operator of the course offers various archery courses. The offer includes trial courses and “normal” archery courses, but on the main course “Bärleinsparcours”.

You need to plan around 1 to 1.5 hours for the leisurely round on the course.
The terrain is flat and leads exclusively over meadows and is therefore very easy to walk on.
There are also only bows up to 55 lbs. allowed.
No arrows with broadheads or blunts may be shot!
Dogsmay be brought onto the course if they are kept on a leash.
There are no catering facilities on site.
Unfortunately there are no toilets on site.
